Pretty in pink…. {newborn}

January 26, 2011

I was thrilled to meet this precious newborn.  She is just one day shy of two weeks, and she is absolutely beautiful.  I had so much fun with her this morning.   The funny thing is that almost all of my newborn sessions have been boys so it was kind of fun to add some pink into the session today.  Now if only I could get inundated with newborn session for this winter — it would surely make the time pass pleasantly and rid those winter blues.  I only scanned my shots quickly, but I am thinking this just might be my favorite image from today.

On a side note, you may want to consider a Amy Kelly Photography gift certificate for an expecting mom. The gift of photography is timeless!  email amykellyphotography@gmail.com for more info

What a smile…

January 24, 2011

Who couldn’t use seeing a happy smile today? I couldn’t resist posting this quick picture from a session this weekend. Seeing this certainly warms my spirit on this freezing cold day!  More pictures to follow! :-)

Gap baby….

January 20, 2011

He definitely could be a “Gap” baby! He is just so cute! This is the second time I photographed this little guy and just when I thought he couldn’t get any cuter, he DID! He’s like a little dapper man, and he loves the camera. His eyes are like crystals, and he is full of smiles. I also love taking pictures in his house, because the natural light is awesome. The brick wall is really great too — I wish this was my studio.

I have many blog posts to catch up on from before the holidays but thought this was a great one to start with — seriously, this little guy could brighten even the darkest of winter days!

Photo Booth?

January 7, 2011

A few people have asked me “what is a “photo booth”?”  Here’s what it means to me, and how it evolved for me!  A couple of months ago, Cindy called me to see if I could provide her with a “photo booth” for her wedding.  She had already booked me as her wedding photographer last spring.   I wasn’t quite sure what a “photo booth” would entail but told her I would look into it.  Basically she wanted her wedding guests to be able get candid photos of themselves. I have done many formal “photo line” events, however never one where the guests have control of the shutter.  This time things were kicked up to an entirely new level! I never like to do anything “half way”,  so I made a list of things I would need to make this work and agreed to do it.   I must confess that my bedroom turned into a “quasi” studio for a couple of weeks, as I set everything up and practiced.  However, it went off without a hitch thanks to my assistants — my sister and husband!  We are now ready to take this show on the road again!  The “photo booth”  in no way replaces regular photography event or wedding coverage, but it is a wonderful addition to any event!

We would be happy to take our “photo booth” to your next wedding or event.  It was so much fun and the possibilities are endless.  Contact amykellyphotography@gmail.com for more details

I have posted a few images from Cindy and Jeff’s photo booth and  here is a  link to the entire gallery.  Guests can purchase any of the gallery images directly from this link.  They are silly images that capture the fun mood of the night.

Cindy & Jeff — Part 2

January 4, 2011

As promised here is another blog post with some more highlights from Cindy and Jeff’s wedding. After a special event like a wedding, all that is left is wonderful memories and of course pictures — in this case there are lots of beautiful pictures for a beautiful couple! Congratulations, Cindy and Jeff and best wishes for a life time of happiness.

Some of the pretty details.

All of the children were precious!

This guy was hysterical and he was not lacking with respect to dance moves! lol

I took advantage of this pretty backdrop from Lemondrop Stop for the photo booth for some of the formals.

Cindy and Jeff — Part 1

January 4, 2011

I don’t think I have ever packed so many images into one post, but I just can’t help it — there are so many great ones! Having said that I am going to have to do another one. Here are some “before” images and some from the church. I must say there is something magical about all weddings but getting married on New Year’s Eve just brings things to a new level. It was so festive and the holiday spirit was clearly present.  I was so happy to be part of such great wedding!  Check back for some more pictures of the PARTY!  It was a very Happy New Years!

Cindy’s gown was gorgeous (as is she).

I can tell she is a special auntie!

Here flowers were lovely!

I have never seen shoes like these!

Brothers!

This little girl had the important job of passing out programs — then later in the night, she got everyone to come to the photo booth!

Mr. and Mrs. Glynn

Here’s a quick preview of Cindy and Jeff’s New Year’s Eve wedding — it was spectacular, and they looked amazing! There will be a post to follow with many more pictures and details. I’m just trying to catch up from all the excitement of the last couple of weeks. The kids go back to school tomorrow and life should be back to it’s regular schedule (hope I’m not jinxing myself!) Stay tuned for Cindy and Jeff’s full post! The photo booth pics should be up soon as well.

Sarah & Brad…..

January 2, 2011

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure do so Sarah and Brad’s engagment photos. It was just a couple of days before Christmas and such a nice time to be walking through Boston Public Gardens. We even had a little bit of snow. I had met Brad at an event several months ago, but it was my first time meeting his lovely fiance, Sarah. They are a wonderful couple, and I am so excited for their wedding this summer. Here is a sneak peek of there session.
