There is nothing better than a brand new baby — a miracle! I was thrilled for the opportunity to photograph this little angel! In fact, I was practically counting the weeks for her arrival. She is just as precious as her big sister’s, who by the way, are two of my favorite models and have appeared on my blog quite a few times already! With the help of my mom, A.K.A. “the baby whisperer”, everything went quite smoothly. Lucky for me, my mom is great with babies. She positioned her just right each time! The old girls made it fun too! I love getting my girl fix too. When everything at my house is legos, balls, and nerf guns, it’s pretty fun to talk nail polish, and “feathers”! Here’s a preview of some of the highlights — cuteness alert!
Sleeping babies are so peaceful!

I LOVE little feet pictures!

All the girls!

Love how fun these girls can be!

….exciting new things!

February 3, 2012

So it’s been a while or actually way too long since I last posted!  I actually had to look up my login for my blog — not good!  I’m going to make my a better effort to document what I have been up to, going forward.  The fall was super busy and I tended to only post pictures on my fb page, which is great, but fb doesn’t always show pictures as nicely as here on the blog.  I also confess that not everything even made it to my fb page.  Well it’s a new year (albiet that we’re already into February).  Nonetheless, I am going to begin the year with a wonderful photography workshop I just atteneded.  It was the mj2day with Melissa Jill.  What can I say about it?  It was nothing short of FANTASTIC  (I would say AMAZING, but I completely over use that word and am trying to refrain! lol) Melissa is an extroidinary photographer, who I have admired for a while and was thrilled to be able to join her in in Phoenix this week.  She poured her heart and sole out in her workshop, which was delightful.  It’s not often that someone will share so much of there talent and knowledge, but she did, and she did so in such a personal and kind way.    I feel like she validated some of what I knew, while teaching me MUCH MUCH more!  I am extremely grateful for this experience.  Not only did I leave there with a wealth of information (yes my brain is on overload), I made 15 new friends!  How cool is that?

Part of the workshop included a mock engagement shoot, which included an already married couple, expecting their first baby! They were fabulous subjects and that beautiful baby bump made the session even more fun!  Not only did we have two gorgeous subjects, we also had some spectacular light!

Here’s my latest newborn! Well of course not “mine”, but my newest little subject! Isn’t he fantastic? He entered the world a month early and was just two week old for his first portrait session. He is too cute and just went with the flow for the entire session. I don’t think he even cried once… well maybe just once. Other than that, he let us just pose him the whole time. I had been exchanging emails and calls with his mom for a couple of months and was so happy to finally meet her and him. I am just thrilled their family has been blessed with Brendan! I am looking forward to a year of sessions with him. I love seeing how much babies change in their first year. Check back — this handsome little guy will be making quite a few appearances on the blog over the course of the year!

A newborn baby — what could be better! Each and every time, I am awaiting the arrival of a newborn, I get so excited. You would think, I was “expecting” the baby! I just love babies and expecially being able to photograph them. I can’t help but think of when my boys were newborns and it really does seem like yesterday. I think anyone over the age of 30 realizes how quickly time passes and anyone with children absolutely understand how quickly time moves. Before you know it babies are going to school! Then off to college and if I think beyond that, my heart will break! lol Here’s a recent newborn shoot I did and Baby P is only seven days old! Unlike most newborns, this little guy didn’t want to sleep — for most of the session he was wide awake! Isn’t he handsome?

Beautiful…..

May 27, 2011

I spent yesterday photographing a beautiful newborn. I say it every time, but there’s nothing better than a newborn baby! It feels like her mom just told me she was expecting and ever since she did, I was excited to do her newborn session. I was equally as happy to see her big brother too. He is always a little model for me and of course he did not disappoint me yesterday. It was awesome to see how much he already loves his baby sister, and I was so happy to capture his adoration for her! I could have spent the entire day with them — time just flew by! Here’s a preview of their session.

Doubley sweet…..

May 10, 2011

Oh my gosh — they were so sweet! I was so excited to photograph these ten day old babies and twins! They are just precious. If only I could have bottled up that baby smell — awesome! Here’s a glimpse of their newborn session. I just love my job, and love that I can document such happy memories. With a handsome little newborn on Friday, and these pretty girls today, I am having a fantastic week. If you know of anyone expecting, newborn photography sessions make a fantastc baby gift.

Brand New…..

May 8, 2011

I had the pleasure to photograph this perfect little guy on his 7th day of life! He was awesome and so content. I enjoyed this session so much that I didn’t even realize how much time had passed. I could photograph babies every day of the week, especially babies like him. He was so happy and loves to be swaddled tight. Many thanks to his mom for having me and congratulations for this sweet little miracle. Here’s a sneak peek of the session. There are so many more.

Pretty in pink…. {newborn}

January 26, 2011

I was thrilled to meet this precious newborn.  She is just one day shy of two weeks, and she is absolutely beautiful.  I had so much fun with her this morning.   The funny thing is that almost all of my newborn sessions have been boys so it was kind of fun to add some pink into the session today.  Now if only I could get inundated with newborn session for this winter — it would surely make the time pass pleasantly and rid those winter blues.  I only scanned my shots quickly, but I am thinking this just might be my favorite image from today.

Precious…..

August 27, 2010

This little scrumptious bundle of joy sure loved to sleep — well maybe not in the middle of the night! Nevertheless he struck a few poses and knodded off to sleep. He is adorable and I am thrilled for his parents. It seems like yesterday his mother told me she was expecting. I guess this is another reminder to me of how quickly time passes. Here’s a quick glimpse of his his session….

So handsome….

June 2, 2010

I cannot resist a newborn or baby shoot – I have so much fun photographing babies. Today was another example. This little guy is a handsome dude! He completely rocked this session, and he was full of smiles. He was mesmorized by the click of my camera’s shutter. He also loved his “nap-time nanny” which was his little cushioned seat which arrived in the mail today – it was a perfect prop for the session. It’s getting late, but I wanted to display a quick sneak peek to the session. Here goes….
