What a wedding this was — it was FANTASTIC! I was so happy I was able to share this joyous day with Caiti and Bill. They are a beautiful couple on the inside and out. I am so fortunate to be able to share such happy times with people, and this day was no exception. Congratulations — I wish you a lifetime of happiness! Here are some highlights from your special day! This bracelet was given to Caiti.  Not only was it beautiful, it had much sentimental value.

I am getting hungry just looking at these amazing desserts — I didn’t try one but as you can see they looked awesome!

Oh my goodness — I can’t believe I never posted these? I LOVED doing this session! Carly and Kyle are an awesome couple, and I’m not just saying that because Kyle is my cousin. I truly felt honored to do their engagement session, and I am so excited for their wedding next week. While this week, I am not a big fan of facebook, all in all, I am happy that it has brough me closer to my cousins. Kyle, I still can’t believe you are getting married as I remember when you were born. Carly, I am so happy I have gotten to know you! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness — here’s to the beginning of the rest of your life! Seven more days — can’t wait! :-)

fun sunday….

September 19, 2011

Once again, I’m behind on my blog, but here’s a wonderful session from yesterday. This brother and sister duo seemed to be the best of friends (either that or they had me completely fooled! lol) –they were so much fun and so photogenic! Their yard was the perfect backdrop, and giant beechnut tree was pretty cool too, and I even climbed a ladder for the tree shots! Check out some highlights….

I haven’t added a blog post in what seems like forever! That does not, mean I haven’t had anything to add — actually it’s quite the contrary! I have been so busy with shooting portrait sessions and events that I have greatly neglected my blog. I love taking pictures, meeting new people, being creative, and editing, however resizing pictures and uploading them to my blog is tedious and something I do not enjoy! Though I do love looking at picture on my blog once they are up. Unfortunately fb makes it easy to upload a few images at a time, to showcase a session, however fb also does not display the images as nicely as they really are. With that being said, I am going to backtrack and my subsequent posts might be in no particuliar order, but I do want you to see some of what I have been up to over the course of this summer. Some things have been private events (there have been several) and in those cases, I’ll keep them private even though they have have been fun and yielded some awesome images. In other cases, with the permission of my clients, I will post previews of their session here!

With out further adieu, here is a wonderful session from last night! I am proud to say this is the fourth year in a row I have photographed this beautiful family. One of my favorite things when photographing families and children is getting right on the level of the children while capturing doing what they do best — that is being kids! Last night was no exception. While they sat for some pictures, they also ran around and had fun — the way it should be. As you will see, the light and the setting was fantastic! Here goes….

Pretty in pink….

March 30, 2011

I haven’t blogged much lately but that’s not because I’ve been short on material. The winter has been hopping, and I have so much to share. I’ll start with the most recent sessions and work my way backwards. Here’s a pretty little angel from a recent newborn shoot. Isn’t she precious? There is nothing like a newborn baby — no greater gift! I really enjoyed meeting her and her mom and dad. Her mom got her to smile and her dad new just how to poser her, and he was an awesome swaddler! lol

I love my newborn sessions and if you need a gift for a new mom and dad, please consider giving an Amy Kelly Photography gift certificate. :-)

Gap baby….

January 20, 2011

He definitely could be a “Gap” baby! He is just so cute! This is the second time I photographed this little guy and just when I thought he couldn’t get any cuter, he DID! He’s like a little dapper man, and he loves the camera. His eyes are like crystals, and he is full of smiles. I also love taking pictures in his house, because the natural light is awesome. The brick wall is really great too — I wish this was my studio.

I have many blog posts to catch up on from before the holidays but thought this was a great one to start with — seriously, this little guy could brighten even the darkest of winter days!

Fall is here…..

October 11, 2010

I love the, and it’s my favorite time for out-door pictures! While I am weeks behind in blogging, I can’t resist posting some sneak peeks of my sessions this weekend while they are fresh on my mind. Isn’t she sweet? I think the cool, crisp air might have been slightly shocking, but she warmed up to the camera in a little time. It’s so fun to see how babies respond to all the things in nature. She loved grabbing the grass. This session was the first of what will be many for me at one of my favorite venues. Here’s a quick preview but there will be more to come! If you’re looking for a wonderful spot for a fall session, message me at amykellyphotography@gmail.com. This is certainly an awesome spot. The foliage is starting to become brilliant. Don’t wait to book your session!

Precious…..

August 27, 2010

This little scrumptious bundle of joy sure loved to sleep — well maybe not in the middle of the night! Nevertheless he struck a few poses and knodded off to sleep. He is adorable and I am thrilled for his parents. It seems like yesterday his mother told me she was expecting. I guess this is another reminder to me of how quickly time passes. Here’s a quick glimpse of his his session….

Susan and Mark…..

August 25, 2010

Last month I shot a gorgeous, beach wedding followed by a back yard reception. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended. There was so much love in the air and I think the images below reflect that. The bride looked spectacular as did her girls. I was completely in awe by all the special details of the day — all prepared by the bride. We had not even met until their day but yet it seemed like I had known them before — it’s crazy how that can happen! They were so nice and welcoming. I wish them a lifetime of happiness.  Thanks for letting me share in your day!  Checkout their preview…..

Anxiously awaiting….

February 7, 2010

I had a wonderful maternity session yesterday with an old college friend and her husband (and of course spent the entire night dreaming about babies!!!) This session has been in the works for about three months now, and I can’t believed how quickly the time passed. There was so much excitement between these two people, as they await the arrival of their first baby! I seriously got butterflies in my stomach just witnessing thier joy and anticipation — their is no better gift than the gift of life and they have that! In just a few weeks, they will meet their precious baby. I was grateful to capture this special time for them. It was great to see you, Ludy and a pleasure to meet you, Pete! I am so happy for the both of you. I love they added element of surprise, where they do not know the baby’s sex. They do have names picked out though, so it was Pete’s idea to use the both names in a picture- great thinking!!! Here’s a quick glimpse of their session…
