Two little cuties and Rexhame Beach….

What an evening we had at Rexhame Beach and these cuties were awesome. While it was 95 degrees and “behind the scenes” we were sweating like crazy, the kids were awesome and super cute. Maggie loved the camera and her smile proves it. My kids on the other hand, were having a blast body surfing in the pre-tropical storm waves with my husband while I did the shoot. They were psyched to try out a new beach. This shoot was surely a success and here’s a preview…. I hope to go back to Rexhame Beach some time soon!

I was so happy to meet up with the beautiful O’Sullivan girls for the third year in a row. It’s so fun to see how children grow and change. This was the first year that there were no tears from the twins — yeah!!! I think they even had fun. Thanks for another year, and look forward to photographing you in the years to come!

This little scrumptious bundle of joy sure loved to sleep — well maybe not in the middle of the night! Nevertheless he struck a few poses and knodded off to sleep. He is adorable and I am thrilled for his parents. It seems like yesterday his mother told me she was expecting. I guess this is another reminder to me of how quickly time passes. Last month I shot a gorgeous, beach wedding followed by a back yard reception. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended. There was so much love in the air and I think the images below reflect that. The bride looked spectacular as did her girls. I was completely in awe by all the special details of the day — all prepared by the bride. We had not even met until their day but yet it seemed like I had known them before — it’s crazy how that can happen! They were so nice and welcoming. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. Oh my goodness!!! I must have sounded completely crazy the other night. While you would never know it based on the fantastic expressions below, the little guy was very reluctant to sport a smile! I should say EXTREMELY reluctant! He wanted no part of the camera at all! We talked about Thomas the Train, Diego, Dora, Santa Claus, fire engines, police cars, motor cycles, etc. — nothing mattered! That was until I let out a roar of a burp! Yes that’s right — I belched to get him to smile and laugh! Before you think it was accidentall and I was just covering for myself, I promise it was completely planned. It was my final attempt to get a smile before I stood on my head (and of course it would have been pretty hard for me to snap any pics standing on my head! lol In any event, my efforts worked. He smiled, and I got some terrific shots. These little ones are absolutely adorable and while, it may not be a great thing, I can now add “deliberate belching” to my repertoire of ways to make children laugh and avoiding those fake smiles that result from saying “cheese”!!! (I hate saying chesse — it does NOT work!) Well here you have it…… a a few burps that resulted in some great shots! Oh and by the way, I did say “excuse me”! ha ha ha

Meet Nolan…..

What a handsome little baby he is! I was fortunate to be able to meet him and his family the other day. This little guy perfomed so well in front of my camera, and we had so much fun. This session was another example of why I just love my job — it is so much fun to be working (if you can even call it that) and meet such nice people! I am grateful to love what I do and for all the wonderful people I meet along the way. Here are some highlights from my time with Nolan — trust me there are many more!

Last night was I met Cindy & Jeff for their engagement session. We have been planning this for so long but the weather has had other plans. Seriously, who wants to get their pictures taken when the humidity is 90% and the temps are even higher? So last night, was below 90, and we had a plan. Then are plan was almost thwarted when the skies got pretty dark around 5:00 pm. Flexibility is definitely key when planning an out-door photography session and they were definitely flexible. We decided to make the call in a half hour and what do you know? By then the sun was shining! We started the session at their home with their baby, Naomi (their dog, who was very friendly!) We then went down to the beach to complete the session — it was beautiful there and so were they! I had so much fun. I hope you did too. I can’t wait for your wedding — what an awesome way to ring in the new year! Here’s a sneak peak….

lucky!!! In just 24 hours, I was able to photograph two happy couples. I just finished uploading and backing up my session with Cindy and Jeff — it was awesome. While I am too exhausted to begin editing the session, I just had to share one image from tonight. It’s or should I say they are beautiful! Stay tuned there will be a longer post to follow….
