just before the rain! When Jen and Brian arrived at my house, a few sprinkles of rain began to fall. Jen said, “what’s a few sprinkles?” It was that care fee attitude that made this shoot such a success. Both Jen and Brian are so easy going, which made things easy for me — even when I called Brian “Steve”, oh about four times! I am so sorry about that! Brian’s children were great as well. His daughter even suggested spots and shots for us — thanks Kelsey! Fortunately as soon as those sprinkles stopped shortly after we began, and held off until we were done. The overcast sky worked in our favor, as we didn’t need to worry about any harsh sun. Here’s a preview of their engagement session. They all looked great and were naturals in front of the camera! I can’t wait for next June.

We made it….

so much fun!!!
July 23, 2010I had so much fun meeting up with an old friend highschool (and college) friend and her too little munchkins yesterday. These kiddos had tons of energy, but I think they had fun too! It was a gorgeous day and we picked a wonderful place. We ended it at the carousel, which was a hit. Hopefully the carousel man finally showed up, but to my delite he wasn’t there yet and I was able to get some great shots without it actually moving! lol Here’s a glimpse to the shoot. There’s much more to but this is a good start. Seriously, they were like models — so adorable!

a preview to a preview….
July 22, 2010I had a wonderful shoot this morning and couldn’t wait to post a something quick — there’s lots more to follow!
They are super cute!
Had to share…..

I almost forgot….
July 18, 2010to post this wonderful session to my blog! I was in such a rush before vacation that a few sessions have still not made it to my blog. Nonetheless this session turned out awesome, as these two brothers rocked it! They were so photogenic, despite the heat. The location, provided some good shade and also good light for a late morning shoot (which would not have worked out just anywhere). Here’s a glimpse of the session….

two princesses….
July 17, 2010Remember that adorable little redhead? Well these lovely ladies are both the sister and cousin of that little cutie! As you can see it was their First Holy Communion and they looked gorgeous! Both were beautiful and had so much grace in their fancy dresses. It was a fantastic night, and we had a wonderful backdrop. It was a treat to photograph these girls in all their spendor!

so sweet….
July 13, 2010Once again, I am way behind in blogging my photo sessions! I thought I would start with this adorable little one year-old. Isn’t she sweet? These were taken at her sister’s first communion a month or so ago — I just couldn’t resist capturing her with all of her adorable hats. She was not shy at all and I loved that! Of course I am partical to red heads, seeing that my first born son is a red head (and to this day I wonder where the red hair came from, but I LOVE it!)
Going to Grandma’s…..
June 23, 2010I had another fun portrait session today with two adorable little boys! It was especially nice because they were visiting from out of state at their grandparents’ home, which are my parents good friends. I was so happy to meet their precious grandchildren! I also enjoyed seeing their mom who I hadn’t seen in many years — wow time does fly! It was a hot day but these guys were champs. Here’s a preview of their session. I hope they enjoy the rest of their visit and have a wonderful time seeing “Thomas the Train”!

Brothers….
June 23, 2010This was such a special shoot. It wasn’t just a two year old shoot or a senior shoot. Instead it combined the two, as it was for two brothers — one who is two years old and the other who is eighteen years old. The older brother will be leaving for college this summer so it documents a really special time for them. Both boys were so handsome and photogenic. It was also obvious to me that, though spread apart in years, they were very close. The little guy adored his big brother and the older guy was so loving and patient with him. I really enjoyed getting to capture this special time. I love that many of the photos were candid. I think they will be very special in the years to follow. Best of luck to the recent graduate – I think you’ll always have a very special little man always looking up to you!
What a night!!!
June 19, 2010Last night had to have been the best night of this spring — it was gorgeous!!! While it may have been a little hot, there was a beautiful breeze down at the beach. I was thrilled to have a beach session. This was another session that was rescheduled a few times due to the rainy weather, but I am so happy we waited. I must say that this little guy was one of the happiest babies I have ever met (and really cute too!!!) He was so easy going. I think it’s awesome that this session documented his first time at the beach (or the first time he really experienced the sand) — he was fascinated by it! Here’s a little glimpse to the session but there is lots more to come!
