Who says senior portraits have to just be a headshot with a blue/gray background? Senior sessions couldn’t be further from that with Amy Kelly Photography! Senior sessions should be fun and reflect his/her personality. This session was fantastic, as was the senior! She had so much enthusiasm for the shoot, which made my job quite easy. I love how we found this spot too. If you know someone who is interested in a not so typical high school senior session, have them contact Amy Kelly Photography — amykellyphotography@gmail.com They won’t be disappointed!

Class of 2012 — {Senior Session} Quincy — South of Boston
August 21, 2011Summer beauty! {Family Photography – Quincy & South Shore}
August 21, 2011I haven’t added a blog post in what seems like forever! That does not, mean I haven’t had anything to add — actually it’s quite the contrary! I have been so busy with shooting portrait sessions and events that I have greatly neglected my blog. I love taking pictures, meeting new people, being creative, and editing, however resizing pictures and uploading them to my blog is tedious and something I do not enjoy! Though I do love looking at picture on my blog once they are up. Unfortunately fb makes it easy to upload a few images at a time, to showcase a session, however fb also does not display the images as nicely as they really are. With that being said, I am going to backtrack and my subsequent posts might be in no particuliar order, but I do want you to see some of what I have been up to over the course of this summer. Some things have been private events (there have been several) and in those cases, I’ll keep them private even though they have have been fun and yielded some awesome images. In other cases, with the permission of my clients, I will post previews of their session here!
With out further adieu, here is a wonderful session from last night! I am proud to say this is the fourth year in a row I have photographed this beautiful family. One of my favorite things when photographing families and children is getting right on the level of the children while capturing doing what they do best — that is being kids! Last night was no exception. While they sat for some pictures, they also ran around and had fun — the way it should be. As you will see, the light and the setting was fantastic! Here goes….
Summer Fun …..Dennisport
July 20, 2011Last night was such a gorgeous night, and it was perfect for this family’s beach session! I was so fortunate to be able to travel to Dennisport to photograph them while they were on vacation. It was the first time I had met all of them, and they did great in front of the camera. Even the little babies did a great job. I had so much fun and am happy I was able to capture this families memories. Here’s a quick preview of the session! By the way, there are still session times available for this summer — just email amykellyphotography@gmail.com to reserve your family’s session now.
Beautiful…..
May 27, 2011I spent yesterday photographing a beautiful newborn. I say it every time, but there’s nothing better than a newborn baby! It feels like her mom just told me she was expecting and ever since she did, I was excited to do her newborn session. I was equally as happy to see her big brother too. He is always a little model for me and of course he did not disappoint me yesterday. It was awesome to see how much he already loves his baby sister, and I was so happy to capture his adoration for her! I could have spent the entire day with them — time just flew by! Here’s a preview of their session.

Doubley sweet…..
May 10, 2011Oh my gosh — they were so sweet! I was so excited to photograph these ten day old babies and twins! They are just precious. If only I could have bottled up that baby smell — awesome! Here’s a glimpse of their newborn session. I just love my job, and love that I can document such happy memories. With a handsome little newborn on Friday, and these pretty girls today, I am having a fantastic week. If you know of anyone expecting, newborn photography sessions make a fantastc baby gift.

Brand New…..
May 8, 2011I had the pleasure to photograph this perfect little guy on his 7th day of life! He was awesome and so content. I enjoyed this session so much that I didn’t even realize how much time had passed. I could photograph babies every day of the week, especially babies like him. He was so happy and loves to be swaddled tight. Many thanks to his mom for having me and congratulations for this sweet little miracle. Here’s a sneak peek of the session. There are so many more.

Pretty in pink…. {newborn}
January 26, 2011I was thrilled to meet this precious newborn. She is just one day shy of two weeks, and she is absolutely beautiful. I had so much fun with her this morning. The funny thing is that almost all of my newborn sessions have been boys so it was kind of fun to add some pink into the session today. Now if only I could get inundated with newborn session for this winter — it would surely make the time pass pleasantly and rid those winter blues. I only scanned my shots quickly, but I am thinking this just might be my favorite image from today.
On a side note, you may want to consider a Amy Kelly Photography gift certificate for an expecting mom. The gift of photography is timeless! email amykellyphotography@gmail.com for more info
