Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to take pictures for Eastern Nazerene’s Commencement and related events. It was a wonderful experience which included the amazing commencement address given by David McCullough, Pulitzer Prizewinning author. The couldn’t have been any better (especially for picture-taking purposes) – it was mild and a bit over-cast. Thankfully the rain stayed away – that was until the the graduation came to a close. At that time, it sprinkled for a few seconds. Without further adieu, here are a few images for the commencement….

It was so much fun shooting my newest cousin, Jake and his big brother, Will, last week. It was only about 6 months ago that I had my first photo shoot with Will. Jake is such a happy newborn and Will made me laugh every time he called me Amy Kelly (not just Amy – it was AMY KELLY!!!) I enjoyed our photo shoot and visit.  I am not sure if I said this before, but I LOVE doing newborn shoots (and children shoots)!!! Time is fleeting, and seeing how quickly my boys have grown, I appreciate seeing little ones – I just can’t get enough! =)dsc_61511

Isn’t she lovely…

Here’s another sneak peek from a shoot the other day. I couldn’t wait to get a few shots ready to show, as this little girl is beautiful and was a pleasure to work with. While I am surrounded by men in my life (my boys and husband, of course!), it is always nice to hang out with girls – I have been very fortunate to do just that in the last couple of days. We rescheduled due to the weather on Saturday and then rescheduled again, when the sun started to shine – it couldn’t have been any nicer. These are but a few of the gorgeous pictures from this shoot. Stay tuned there’s more to come….

(and I always do what my mother asks!!! lol), I have included a few more shots of Abby from the other day. I still can’t believe how much she hammed it up – the planets must have been in complete alignment for her to be that enthusiastic (just kidding!!!) I have so many more to edit, but here is just a few more. For anyone looking for a Mother’s (or grandmother’s) Day gift, consider a gift certificate for Amy Kelly Photography. Email me for more details…. amykellyphotography@gmail.com. I am off to cut the lawn!

Abby….

May 2, 2009

While it seems as though Abby has always been around, it also seems like just yesterday she was a little baby. During our shoot yesterday, she informed that her birthday is in 16 more days – she will be five. I had so much fun just watching her be herself and capturing what it’s like to be almost five. I only wish I could have taped her voice. She’s a special little girl! I have only scratched the surface of her photos, but I love what I see.
