these moms for getting all eight cousins together in a very short amount of time! They had their session planned for a different day but changed it when the forecast was predicting rain. They really pulled it off without a hitch and in just a couple of hours. I am so glad they did because the end results are awesome. The kids did great, and I think they actually had fun being together. They seriously looked like they were modeling for a fall clothing line. Here is a glimpse to the session. If you want to take advantage of the gorgeous fall colors, call now to book your session for this week!

Kudos to….
October 30, 2009Sometimes it’s nice….
October 28, 2009 to try something new! When one of my friends asked me to try a new location that was special to them, I was a little hesitant. I was unsure of the lighting situation or what the location was like. I also had a full day of shoots at other locations, however she assured me the light would be great and that it was a beautiful location. She was sooo right! I was so happy that I took her word because it was gorgeous. It was also the perfect spot for her almost two year old who did not want to pose in one spot, to roam freely. This handsome guy did, in fact, wonder – he lead the way. This was was another great shoot for Sunday.
What a beautiful day it was…..
October 28, 2009especially after the rain-out we had on Saturday. In addition to loving photography, I love meeting new friends along the way. I met this mom about a month ago and soon after, she booked a session. It was my pleasure to photograph her family and I am happy to have met a new friend too. Without further adieu, here is a sneak preview! Aren’t they adorable?
I should have known….
October 22, 2009that “the” Christmas card shot would be one of the very first frames! I should have known this because the same thing happened last year, but last year doesn’t seem that long ago. Times really flies! I don’t think these kids can get any cuter. I am so happy that I could do their pictures again. Thanks, Leigh! Here’s a quick preview.
I am still taking appointments for full sessions and Christmas “mini” sessions. If you’re interested email amykellyphotography@gmail.com. I have some awesome new location ideas too, as well as great Christmas cards designs.
lady bugs, lady bugs, and more lady bugs….
October 21, 2009The lady bugs were swarming every where, but that didn’t hamper this session today! It was so nice to meet this beautiful family and the weather was perfect. The colors of fall are brilliant right now, making a wonderful canvas. These children did awesome – even the little one who had forfeited her nap! I had fun, and I think they did too. I can’t say it enough – I LOVE my job!
Birthdays at the pumpkin patch….
October 20, 2009I can’t think of a better place to celebrate a fall birthday than a pumpkin patch! I couldn’t wait to photograph this birthday party, and I think my prayers worked, because the rain held off. From my point a view, the cloudy overcast sky made for some great images. The party began with a hayride which brought us to the pumpkin patch, of course. Once there, all the children got to pick out their pumpkins. The party followed in a green house afterwards. It was really a great place for a party. I had wonderfully adorable little subjects. The birthday boys were exceptionally cute, and they didn’t seem to mind that I followed them around most of the time clicking my camera! Here’s a sneak peek. There are many more. Thanks for inviting me! =)
brown eyed boy….
October 19, 2009I couldn’t think of a better way to start my week – that is taking pictures of a handsome little boy on a gorgeous fall day, at one of my favorite venues! After a weekend of crazy weather, today was wonderful! This little guy was so cute and lots of fun too. He was full of smiles and laughed a bunch. While I have probably said this a billion times, I love capturing the little personalities of children.
By the way, the now is the perfect time for children/family portrait sessions. The colors are beautiful and the weather looks to be promising. Contact Amy Kelly Photography to book your session now. amykellyphotography@gmail.com or 617.653.3956. Here’s a preview of today’s session.
an adorable ‘lil man…
October 18, 2009This little guy is adorable! I had so much fun photographing him at his home. He was not phased by anything, and he was like a little model with his clothing changes. I love how his eyes just sparkle – they can light up a room! I often get my favorite captures when I am just about to wrap up a session – that happened on this day. It’s my most favorite shot, and it was when his dog entered the bedroom, giving him a smooch. I was thrilled to have captured this precious moment! Thanks for the great session!
Puddle jumping….
October 7, 2009was the highlight of this session or maybe it was a tie between puddle jumping and the tasty blow-pops, which the mom had in her bag as a VERY helpful bribe. Nevertheless, it was a very successful photo session and these kids were super cute! When me and the mom spoke regarding the weather on the morning of our session, I was thrilled that she still wanted to proceed with the session, despite the cloudiness and rather wet ground conditions. Clouds work for me, and I welcome opportunities when children can roam and explore during a session. This was the perfect day for just that. While we definitely got some very great posed shoots, I LOVE the playful candids! So if there’s ever a cloudy, damp day with lots of puddles, give me a call. If my schedule permits, I would love to capture your children puddle jumping too!
Amanda & Lance
October 5, 2009The heavy rains on Saturday did not dampen the spirits of Amanda and Lance or their guests one bit! I can’t say enough how much of a pleasure it was to photograph their wedding. They are a beautiful looking couple and just as nice too. They are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful families, as well. While sometimes it can be a bit awkward meeting families for he first time, these families was so very friendly and nice right from he beginning. I actually felt like a guest at their wedding and was even tempted to stay and dance when I was done taking pictures =) (and my sister and assistant would probably agree) – that’s how much fun this wedding was! There are so many great images to go through, but here are a few of my favorites so far. Best wishes, Amanda & Lance – I hope your lives together are filled with much love and happiness!
