This little scrumptious bundle of joy sure loved to sleep — well maybe not in the middle of the night! Nevertheless he struck a few poses and knodded off to sleep. He is adorable and I am thrilled for his parents. It seems like yesterday his mother told me she was expecting. I guess this is another reminder to me of how quickly time passes. Here’s a quick glimpse of his his session….

Precious…..
August 27, 2010Susan and Mark…..
August 25, 2010Last month I shot a gorgeous, beach wedding followed by a back yard reception. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended. There was so much love in the air and I think the images below reflect that. The bride looked spectacular as did her girls. I was completely in awe by all the special details of the day — all prepared by the bride. We had not even met until their day but yet it seemed like I had known them before — it’s crazy how that can happen! They were so nice and welcoming. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. Thanks for letting me share in your day! Checkout their preview…..
Anxiously awaiting….
February 7, 2010I had a wonderful maternity session yesterday with an old college friend and her husband (and of course spent the entire night dreaming about babies!!!) This session has been in the works for about three months now, and I can’t believed how quickly the time passed. There was so much excitement between these two people, as they await the arrival of their first baby! I seriously got butterflies in my stomach just witnessing thier joy and anticipation — their is no better gift than the gift of life and they have that! In just a few weeks, they will meet their precious baby. I was grateful to capture this special time for them. It was great to see you, Ludy and a pleasure to meet you, Pete! I am so happy for the both of you. I love they added element of surprise, where they do not know the baby’s sex. They do have names picked out though, so it was Pete’s idea to use the both names in a picture- great thinking!!! Here’s a quick glimpse of their session…
A little out of the box….
February 5, 2010A few weeks ago, I did a shoot for Liv Fitness, and I plan to share them soon. They will also appear on the Liv Fitness website. Today, Olivia from Liv Fitness asked me to take some additional pictures. While the last shoot consisted of people, this shoot were all objects from the studio. I was had a blast being creative and using light a little differently. Today I was reminded that is so much fun to go beyond my comfort zone. Here are a images from today. If you’re looking for an amazing personal trainor, contact Olivia from Liv Fitness – you won’t be disappointed. Here are a just a few images from today….
Just a quick one….
January 30, 2010Here’s just a few shots from an inpromptu session with my niece. I had lots of fun experimenting in a new location, but I was reminded that late afernoon, on a school day is probably not the best time for a five year-old who had already had a full day of school! lol She was not too happy with me! I tried to have fun with it anyway, even though she wanted nothing to do with my Valentine’s Day props. Instead she wanted her pictures with guitar that was on display. One thing I have learned as a mom and photographer of children, is that sometimes you may have to abandon your original plan, and just let the child/children lead the way. This totally contradicts my parenting philosophy, but during a photography session the “rules of parenting” don’t always apply — for example bribes come in handy!!!! lol
On this day, I was fortunate to use the space of Liv Fitness and Zamforia for my mini shoot. If you haven’t heard of either of these businesses, check them out. Olivia from Liv Fitness operates her own personal fitness studio and together her and her brother Jonathan own and operate Zamforia. They are wonderful, and I am now fortunate to use their space for some of my indoor shoots. Check out their story on their website — it’s awesome!!! With Valentine’s Day approaching, Zamforia’s, “It Says Love” tee-shirts are the perfect gift (though they make a the perfect gift all year round!!!)
If you’re looking to book an indoor shoot (and I reccommend in door with this cold!!!) let me know. I am also offering “mini” Valentine’s children sessions on February 7th. Please contact me for the details.
New Year and a new bundle of joy!
January 22, 2010I cannot believe that 2010 has arrived and that January is almost behind us – what a month! It has been ages since I last posted but trust me, there has been lots going on. It seem fitting to for my first post of the year to be a newborn session. This little babe is precious. It was a joy to photograph her and visit with her mom. I love photographing newborns – for a short while, I feel like I have gone back in time! Without further a adieu, here she is!
Having a jolly time…
December 29, 2009I was so excited to sneak in this shoot just a couple of days before Christmas. He was mesmerized by the tree and the lights. This little guy has become one of my favorite subjects. I first met him back in October and here are some of the shots from that session. I just love how he smiles right at me. It is almost instinctive – he can certainly play to the camera. Things can always change, but I hope he always like having his pictures taken, as I look forward to doing it again.
Beautiful December day…
December 5, 2009It was my pleasure to meet this family at the Boston Public Gardens for a Christmas photo shoot. I always welcome the opportunity to spend some time in Boston. These little guys were too cute and their eyes just sparked – they are so handsome! I really enjoyed this session and was happy to meet some new people – it was a beautiful December day! Thank you! Here’s a sneak preview….
In full Christmas mode….
November 29, 2009Though I have been busy with “Christmas Card” photo sessions for a while, Quincy’s annual Christmas Parade is when the Christmas season has always begun for me (in my heart, that is). I love everything about the parade – being with my family, the sights, the sounds and the all around happy and magical spirit. Today was no exception. The weather made today particularly nice (especially since I have been too busy to think about outfitting my kids with cold weather gear!!!) I will make sure to do that this week, as I am sure it will get COOOLD soon enough.
I am still have limited openings for Christmas card sessions. If you’re interested email me at amykellyphotography@gmail.com to reserve a session. Here are some of my card design offerings.
Here are a few personal pictures from the parade.
These guys just realized Santa was approaching them on the fire truck!
The whole clan minus David – I can’t even believe I missed him. Why didn’t anyone tell me?!?!? Here’s one of David by himself – I am afraid of what the payback will be when he sees this some time in the future!
Here’s one from a session today that I just couldn’t resist – two handsome brothers with their special gift (their adorable baby brother!!!)
Just ducky….
November 23, 2009Sorry for the cliche’ but since this post is for my sister, it’s completely appropriate. I was thrilled to get my niece and nephew Christmas pictures done yesterday – it is quite an event every year, but one that sure creates memories! This year went off without a hitch. I wonder if it was the presence of my brother in-law Donald, aka “Ducky”! Nevertheless, the kids were as cute as ever. Here’s your sneak preview. Lisa, your call, and Mary’s calls/emails worked! I have something to show you and will have more. Hope you like them.
