Actually, it was more like police cars, fire trucks, and more police cars! While there was a lot of commotion during this session, it was very much a success. Instead of being distracted, everyone was quite engaged. These children were naturals when it came to picture taking on. They were full of smiles, in fact per their mom’s request I had to persuade them not to smile for a few serious shots. The tree picture is one of my favorites even though my heart was sinking in fear, not that a child would fall (because I knew they were all set) but afraid the tree would break. I did not want to have to explain that to my congregation! While the flu caused us to reschedule a few time, I am happy we were finally able to meet and that everyone was finally healthy! Here’s a sneak peek.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles….
November 22, 2009Could he be ….
November 21, 2009any cuter? I really don’t think so. This little guy was so much fun and so incredibly happy. He basically called the shots, literally! Other than a few sitting down captures (before he really knew what I was all about), the rest of our time was spent with me following him and Curious George! There was certainly a lot of curiosity!!! It was a great shoot.
I feel so lucky that I have been able to photograph so many wonderful families this year. Additionally, the weather has been my friend too – it has been fantastic. In fact, there looks to be some great days this week too. I am still in full Christmas session mode. If you’re interested in booking a Christmas “mini” session, email amykellyphotography@gmail.com for more information. You can view some of my Christmas card design offerings here. I can make custom cards designs as well.
Miss Maeve
November 12, 2009I loved spending some time with little cutie! I want to extend a Happy 1st Birthday to her – I am so happy that I could capture this special milestone. By the speed of her crawl, I have a feeling she will be walking very soon. She is so precious and was so much fun. Her adorable outfit just made me wish I had a little girl (though I am very grateful for my boys!!!) Here’s a quick preview.
I also want to mention that there is still time to book a family session and/or Christmas “mini” session. I will be posting all of my card options here. I am also available for Christmas/holiday functions and winter events. Call or email me at amykellyphotography@gmail.com or 617.653.3956. Pictures make timeless gifts. I offer gift certificates as well.
Memory Lane….
November 6, 2009This shoot was special to me, because it was for an old friend of mine. We grew up on the same street and played in the neighborhood together for years. Then we grew up and lost touch. Without sounding like a cliche’, we reconnected on facebook, and I am so happy that we did! I was so happy to do this session to see her and to meet her husband and girls for the first time. As we walked around, and I clicked away with my camera, I was flooded by so many happy memories. I hope these pictures will bring many more memories for them – they looked awesome! Thanks for traveling a little distance.
Madison….
November 5, 2009I had so much fun with this little girl. She is beautiful and not the least bit camera shy! I am having so much fun with all of my shoots lately. I feel like every shoot is unique and this one was no exception. I really enjoy being able personalize each of my shoots. No person, family, or child is the same, and that is one reason why I like my job so much. I love being able to give personalized attention to everyone. Madison hadn’t seen me in a year, but once she got “warmed” up, she was like a model. We had lots of fun. Once again, it was a pleasure to do a shoot for a returning client!
Another year gone by….
November 5, 2009I was reminded of how quickly time passes, when I realized it was just a year ago since I did this family’s last session I am so thankful that they decided to do another session this year and just like last year, it turned out fabulous. Hope to see you next year too! I think the first image is one of my all-time favorites.
Feel better soon…
November 5, 2009I just hear that a friend of mine was feeling a little bit under the weather but I am hoping that she feels a little better with a sneak peek of her family’s session. I LOVE the results. They were so patient as I got the lighting just right. In some instances, that actually meant waiting for a nice cloud to pass over the sun. In any event I think I got it right. I seriously amazed by how grown up each of them seems – last I remember, they were young kids at the park! Where does the time go? Here’s a few for now.
All the leaves are falling…..
November 5, 2009but they still look gorgeous. While there were still some leaves on trees, the ones on the ground made these pictures equally as nice – color is remains to be in abundance this time of year. I had another great session with another wonderful family the other day. These little guys were great – they warmed up to the camera pretty quickly and hopefully they got a special treat after this session!
All in the family….
November 4, 2009This family session turned out spectacular. It is not an easiest task to get so many family members together at one time and in one place, however this family succeeded. They had a vision, and I helped them carry it out. Their idea began with a family session and a couch. I loved the idea of using a sofa from the very beginning. In fact, I had just the right place in mind, where their would be no other distracting elements. The lighting was beautiful and they all looked wonderful. Their coordinated clothing colors looked fabulous. One of the male members mad a good point when referring to an extended group family photo, “you just have to set a date and get there and he was right”. I loved being able to capture three generation of this family all together – I hope I can do this for many more families. Just set the date, and get there!
So sweet….
November 2, 2009I loved meeting this little girl (and her mom too!!!). She is just darling and didn’t mind the camera one bit! I couldn’t get over her sparkling eyes – they are gorgeous. Here’s a quick glimpse of her session – there’s lots more to come!
