Actually, it was more like police cars, fire trucks, and more police cars! While there was a lot of commotion during this session, it was very much a success. Instead of being distracted, everyone was quite engaged. These children were naturals when it came to picture taking on. They were full of smiles, in fact per their mom’s request I had to persuade them not to smile for a few serious shots. The tree picture is one of my favorites even though my heart was sinking in fear, not that a child would fall (because I knew they were all set) but afraid the tree would break. I did not want to have to explain that to my congregation! While the flu caused us to reschedule a few time, I am happy we were finally able to meet and that everyone was finally healthy! Here’s a sneak peek.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles….
November 22, 2009Could he be ….
November 21, 2009any cuter? I really don’t think so. This little guy was so much fun and so incredibly happy. He basically called the shots, literally! Other than a few sitting down captures (before he really knew what I was all about), the rest of our time was spent with me following him and Curious George! There was certainly a lot of curiosity!!! It was a great shoot.
I feel so lucky that I have been able to photograph so many wonderful families this year. Additionally, the weather has been my friend too – it has been fantastic. In fact, there looks to be some great days this week too. I am still in full Christmas session mode. If you’re interested in booking a Christmas “mini” session, email amykellyphotography@gmail.com for more information. You can view some of my Christmas card design offerings here. I can make custom cards designs as well.

Memory Lane….
November 6, 2009This shoot was special to me, because it was for an old friend of mine. We grew up on the same street and played in the neighborhood together for years. Then we grew up and lost touch. Without sounding like a cliche’, we reconnected on facebook, and I am so happy that we did! I was so happy to do this session to see her and to meet her husband and girls for the first time. As we walked around, and I clicked away with my camera, I was flooded by so many happy memories. I hope these pictures will bring many more memories for them – they looked awesome! Thanks for traveling a little distance.

Madison….
November 5, 2009I had so much fun with this little girl. She is beautiful and not the least bit camera shy! I am having so much fun with all of my shoots lately. I feel like every shoot is unique and this one was no exception. I really enjoy being able personalize each of my shoots. No person, family, or child is the same, and that is one reason why I like my job so much. I love being able to give personalized attention to everyone. Madison hadn’t seen me in a year, but once she got “warmed” up, she was like a model. We had lots of fun. Once again, it was a pleasure to do a shoot for a returning client!

Another year gone by….
November 5, 2009I was reminded of how quickly time passes, when I realized it was just a year ago since I did this family’s last session I am so thankful that they decided to do another session this year and just like last year, it turned out fabulous. Hope to see you next year too! I think the first image is one of my all-time favorites.

What a beautiful day it was…..
October 28, 2009especially after the rain-out we had on Saturday. In addition to loving photography, I love meeting new friends along the way. I met this mom about a month ago and soon after, she booked a session. It was my pleasure to photograph her family and I am happy to have met a new friend too. Without further adieu, here is a sneak preview! Aren’t they adorable?
